2007年11月22日早上，袁伟静的父亲从100公里外的临沭县打来电话，告诉袁伟静她和陈光诚的4岁儿子陈克睿整个早上一直在哭，不肯去上学、不肯穿外衣、也不肯吃饭，小孩子就想要见到母亲。陈克睿对姥爷说“让我妈妈来，要不就把我送回家。”
袁伟静知道不到万不得已父亲绝不会给她打电话，父亲清楚知晓袁伟静当前被山东省政法委和公安厅非法拘禁的状况。在此之前两个月，小克睿也曾两次通过电话表达对母亲袁伟静的想念。而袁伟静除了悲伤，没有任何办法，因为每时每刻都有7名山东政府人员负责拦截她，而且已经多次动用暴力。这些政府人员在执行山东省政法委和公安厅的命令，就是不管任何原因，都不准盲人陈光诚的妻子袁伟静离开村庄。袁伟静清楚知道自己付出一切代价也插翅难飞，她拼不过外面膀大腰圆的山东政府人员。袁伟静不是没有尝试过。
全国的政法部门和秘密警察系统在中共十七大期间压制、骚扰各地的维权者。人权捍卫者陈光诚尚在监狱中，他的妻子袁伟静成了山东首当其冲迫害的对象，而且持续到现在未见任何改变。从9月23日袁伟静探望完母亲回到东师古村，就被山东政法当局拘禁在给她设置的家庭监狱内。不能买换季衣服，不能前往临沭看望父母和儿子，不能探视狱中的丈夫陈光诚、甚至不能看病。这最后一条已经低于在中国监狱中死囚的待遇。毕竟哪怕是死犯，在没有被行刑之前，他/她如果有病，还是会得到医治的（我们暂且不去探讨行刑之后那些器官被中国政法部门卖给了何人）。
被围困在东师古村的袁伟静非常难过。面对那些执行非法拘禁任务的政府人员，以及下达这种罪恶命令的山东省委、政法委、公安厅的人员，袁伟静想对他们说：“你们家也有孩子。你们没有任何理由为什么要这样来阻拦我。4岁多的孩子想妈妈，很长时间都不能见到妈妈。”
整个上午，作为母亲袁伟静实在承受不了小孩子的哭泣。她的心情很急切。呼吁海内外朋友告诉国际奥委会官员，难道他们要漠视奥运会在中国政府毫无人道的罪恶中进行吗？
各省发生大型事故，《新闻联播》里就会出现省委书记、省长赶赴现场处理的镜头。尽管这些高官到达现场作秀多于实质，但毕竟是表达了危机来临需要有人承担责任，需要解决问题。但中国各地的政法部门作为国家黑社会势力，造成的人道灾难远远多于矿难和自然灾害造成的侵害。此时那些封疆大吏们在哪里？！共产党的喉舌“新华社”、“CCTV”们又在哪里？！
山东无论经济发展如何，但那里的人权重灾区，造成人祸的罪魁祸首恰恰是当地政府的贪官酷吏。从2005年8月起，围绕整个陈光诚案件发生的大大小小数百个事件，山东省政府充分表现出在压制孕妇、残疾人、妇女和儿童方面手段毫无人性。割断儿童和母亲的亲情只不过是其中最新的一件而已。
